1
Day 1 :
  • Upon arrival at Belize City International airport, you’ll make your way to your next short flight to Placencia. From there you will be taken to your hotel. After a speedy check-in and tour, you will be shown to your room. Take the rest of the day and evening to relax. This hotel and trip are more of a relax and do nothing vacation.

Day 2 :
  • Indulge in a big breakfast and relax in the morning sun. Take a stroll down the long beautiful stretch of beach and maybe go for a dip in the ocean or just lay around in one of the many Hammocks along the water's edge. Take a kayak tour through the mangroves to see the Manatees in the afternoon. Get dressed up and enjoy one of the greatest meals you’ll have in Belize. Definitely one of the best chefs and food we encountered.

Day 3 :
  • Ok, so today is Spa day and this hotel has without a doubt the best spa in all of Belize. We recommend making a full day of it and enjoying the grounds and facilities. Take an Ariel yoga class, use the gym or just lay by their private pool and soak in the jungle surroundings. Relax in your room or take a dip in the ocean before an amazing dinner set up privately on the beach just for you.

Day 4 :
  • After waking and eating breakfast, enjoy the last plunge and swim in the ocean. From here you will be driven to the dock and taken to the island on a small boat. After meeting your concierge and other personnel on the island you’ll be given a tour. Spend the rest of the day settling in and watching the sunset from the deck. And if you’re feeling adventurous spend some time on the 20ft dock waterslide.

Day 5 :
  • Wake up to the sound of the ocean and head out to the restaurant to have your breakfast. Do nothing all day! Or…snorkel, fish, kayak, jet ski, scuba dive or sit around and enjoy fresh fruit and other snacks from the extensive menu. Who knew you’d have this many eating options on an island!

Day 6 :
  • Ok, let’s mix things up and head out into the ocean to chase and swim with dolphins and nurse sharks, find amazing reefs to swim, deserted islands to explore, and maybe a little fishing to catch your dinner. Return back to the island to have a private dinner as you watch the sunset, overlooking the ocean followed by a campfire.

Day 7 :
  • After waking and eating breakfast, enjoy the last plunge and swim in the ocean before taking your boat back to the mainland. From there you’ll be driven into the jungle and to the resort. Eat at the restaurant, visit the gardens or swim in the river. Take the rest of the day to relax.

Day 8 :
  • Wake up early and enjoy a farm-to-table breakfast, followed by a hike to the local waterfall. Spend the afternoon laying in a hammock by the river. Get to know some fellow travelers at the bar and enjoy some food by the river.

Day 9 :
  • Wake up early and enjoy breakfast, followed by an off-site tour of the ancient Mayan temples. then a canoeing tour of the Mayan caves. Head back to the resort and lounge around some more at the river and waterfalls. After diner, you’ll have the treat of spending time with one of the local magicians enjoying his many amazing cards and hand tricks.

Day 10 :
  • After breakfast, you’ll get a private tour of the butterfly sanctuary and learn from the owner about the conservation of wildlife that he has dedicated his life to. Follow that with a little bit of zip lining through the jungle. Listen to the Howler monkeys as you fly through the trees. Back at the resort take a short hike to a 100ft waterfall. Lounge around and swim in its many pools before heading back for dinner. Sit around the campfire and stare at the stars.

  • After a light breakfast, you’ll head back to the airport for your flight home.

Q: What is the best time of year to go?
A: Belize has two distinct wet and dry seasons. The dry season typically occurs December through May and the wet season June through November. In the tropics, rain can occur any time of year, but during the dry season rain falls in brief bursts.
Q: Is Belize safe?
A: Belize is a safe country. The big cities have crime like any other city but the resorts we work with are very safe.
Q: Do they speak good English in Belize?
A: Funny enough, English is their first language. Many people speak Spanish but English is the primary.
Q: Are mosquitos a problem?
A: There are mosquitos in the jungle areas. The hotels generally have a good supply of bug spray to offer but it might be good to bring some.
